Our courses are taught live, online and with expert instructors. We currently offer two course series: The People's Medicine Bag offers seasonal herbal healing and adaption. Food Genius delves into nutrition, ancestral culinary arts and our food system.

The people’s medicine bag

People's medicine makers only need a deep, regenerative relationship with a few plants to be effective healers. The few herbs that we carry in our medicine bags represent lifelong partnerships that give us access to healing through space and time.

The People’s Medicine Bag Seasonal Herbal Immersions were designed to connect everyday people to their own powers of transformational healing through building lifelong relationship with safe, simple and powerful plants. These immersions help us to learn and heal communally, seasonally and through the medicine of our own hands.

These immersive experience incorporates the energy of the season of winter to discover the indigenous meaning and significance of the Water element and the use of this element to supporting our Kidney organ system. We will take the ocean of our body into our own hands though the embodied practice of plant apprenticeships and people’s medicine making methodologies that center water and traditional healing rituals that support our wholeness.

These immersive experience incorporates the energy of the season of spring to discover the indigenous meaning and significance of the nature element and the use of this element to support our Liver organ system. We will take the metabolism of our body into our own hands through the embodied practice of plant apprenticeships and people’s medicine-making methodologies that center vinegar and traditional healing rituals that support our wholeness.

SUMMER MEDICINE COURSES

These immersive experiences incorporate the energy of the season of the summer to discover the indigenous meaning and significance of the fire element and the use of this element to supporting the organ system of the Heart. We will take the power of grief into our own hands though the embodied practices of breath work, plant apprenticeships and people’s medicine making methodologies that utilize fermentation, honey and traditional healing rituals that support our wholeness.

EARTH MEDICINE COURSES

Earth Medicine is every season and is interwoven in every other element. All seasons take place on the earth.These immersion are digestive system focused be we believe digestion is at the center of our healthcare. This advanced, embodied immersion into healing the microbiome is available to experienced herbalists and students who have taken the Winter Immersion and one other. This long-form immersion incorporates and embodies a powerful protocol for gut healing. We will practice the art of fermentation and traditional food preparation methods from around the world while using all five elements to grounds us in a deep practice and understanding of our gut and its cultivation. Not only will we apprentice with gut-healing plants but each student will also receive and work with specific microbial cultures.

The Food Genius series combines ethnobotany, cultural anthropology, nutrition and food science to bring you into knowledge of our food system and how to eat to live, to regenerate your health and to connect to your ancestors.
